Meet the Team Behind Your X-rays
Here at Orthopaedics East and Sports Medicine Center, we take pride in the care we provide our patients and the excellent staff that gets the job done. We offer the latest procedures and treatment options in our state-of-the-art facility, including the mobile MRI system that is permanently located on our premises and is available to patients five days a week. Our highly trained radiology staff captures the high quality images that our providers use to help diagnose problems and develop treatment plans. Meet the people that are sometimes behind the scenes, taking care of you.
Carolyn Hester, our lead X-ray Technologist, has been with Orthopaedics East and Sports Medicine Center for 15 years. Carolyn says helping a patient each day is what gets her excited about coming work. “This job keeps me humble. Knowing I get to care for someone and help them find their best path to recovery is a great feeling,” says Carolyn. She says that each day brings something new for her to learn and she enjoys that challenge every day.
For the last three years, Michelle Barton has worked in our Radiology Department as a Radiologic Technologist. “When I first started everyone was very welcoming and willing to help me get accustomed to the different machines and how the office operates,” says Michelle. Now that she has established herself in our practice, she enjoys being able to help patients every day and help them on their way to recovery.
X-ray Tech Sharon Taylor is no stranger to our Radiology Department. Sharon says it’s the interaction with patients that has kept her coming back to Orthopaedics East and Sports Medicine Center every day for the last 15 years. “I love doing patients x-rays and I really enjoy getting to know each one of them during the process,” she says. Sharon also enjoys working with such a great and dependable team.
LeAnne Jones, a Radiology Technician, has also been with the Radiology Department for 15 years. “I love that I play an important role in diagnosing and treating patients during some of the most difficult times of the lives,” LeAnn says. She tells us that even though it can be physically challenging at times, every day is rewarding when a patient shares their gratitude for their service. LeAnn enjoys working alongside our doctors to help with patients and their care. “We have a great group of highly trained doctors and PA’s, which are always willing to explain things to patients in detail to help with their care.”
Even though she is relatively new to our team, Crystal Rouse has enjoyed working as an x-ray tech for the last two years. “I’m excited about coming to work every day knowing I get to help patients and maybe get the chance to make a difference in their lives,” says Crystal. She says working alongside such a talented team in both the Radiology Department and the doctors and PA’s makes every day exciting. “Everyone here is like a family. We all work so well together and each day I learn something new from someone else on the team.”
For the past 31 years, Jeanne Gaylor has worked in our Radiology Department and is currently working as the Imaging & Surgery Scheduling Manager. “I enjoy being a part of a team that is here to help our patients get the best possible care they can,” she says. “I enjoy being able to help them get the care they need to either improve or regain their health and physical wellbeing.” Jeanna says that over the years she has developed bonds with special patients that she will always keep with her. She says that at the end of a hard day is good to look back and think of those patients to remind herself of the impact she is having and the friendships she has made along the way.
